ABOUT
MIDNIGHT SPIN · BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Midnight Spin’s Don’t Let Me Sleep scrapes together everything you love about rock music and makes it hum like a dirty, little noise-box from the future.
Don’t Let Me Sleep is the result of endless bleary-eyed practice sessions and late night stumbling across the East River that has inspired and yielded a full-length album worthy of its name. The twelve-song, Justin Gerrish produced, LP combines 90s alternative and punk energy with modern indie elements from Midnight Spin’s Brooklyn home.
The band quickly emerged as one of New York’s most exciting live acts. Having already toured nationally including festivals like SXSW and playing prominent NYC venues like the Gramercy Theatre and Mercury Lounge; Midnight Spin’s skill for translating top-notch studio recordings into an unforgettable live show left fans dazed and euphoric.
PRESS
“At a Midnight Spin show, those devoted fix their gaze upward, unfold their arms, and proceed to violently skank and hop about between bouts of fervid admiration bordering on a religious experience.”
“Brooklyn’s Midnight Spin bash with a Foo Fighters brashness, dragging ‘90s alt-rock into the present as it should be: kicking and screaming.”
“The album combines the infectious hooks of ’90s alt-rock radio with spitfire punk energy.”
“Quite simply, there aren’t many albums these days with few if any flaws, Don’t Let Me Sleep is one of them.”
“Imagine if Foo Fighters somehow grew up as fans of early The Killers, with a little of The Strokes tossed in for flavor”
“One of the East Coast’s most exciting rock bands”
“make you sing along as you head bang (or whip your hair back and forth) and jump up and down like a petulant child”
